I joined Queensland Theatre Company in its early years. Working in theatre in education for the first year, I joined the main company in 1973.

As a teaching philosophy I believe in practising what I teach. I seek opportunities to continue my professional theatre practice to run in parallel with my teaching assignments. As a practice-led scholar and researcher my principal areas of interest lie in theatre history, acting, and voice and text studies for the actor.
