A fascinating introduction to the remote and, from what the writer indicates, beautiful and eerie Shetland Isles waaay up there north of Scotland. I’ve almost added them to the travel to-do list. The novel is a thriller that blends modern science with ancient folklore, power and greed – a heady mix.
